Welcome to GridNMS

GridNMS gives you a single pane of glass over your network. From one place you can see every device, watch traffic and resource health, get alerted when something breaks, map how everything connects, and search your logs — whether your network is one office or dozens of sites.

  • A live device inventory — routers, switches, firewalls, wireless gear, servers, and more, each showing up/down status and organised by type and site.
  • Always-on monitoring — reachability checks plus traffic, CPU, memory, and disk metrics collected automatically.
  • Prioritised events — everything that matters (a device down, a link saturated, an SNMP trap, a suspicious log) becomes an event with a clear severity.
  • Alerts your way — send the events you care about to email, Slack, webhooks, or PagerDuty.
  • Automatic topology — see how your devices connect, and which ones the rest of the network depends on.
  • Log management — collect, search, and alert on syslog from across your estate.

However you run GridNMS, there are two pieces:

  • GridNMS itself — the web app you log into. It holds your inventory, events, dashboards, and settings, and it’s where you and your team work.
  • Collectors — small, lightweight agents you run close to your equipment. They do the actual watching (reachability checks, polling devices for metrics, and receiving syslog and SNMP traps) and send results back to GridNMS over a single secure outbound connection. You run one collector per site or network segment.

You never have to open inbound firewall holes to GridNMS — collectors always reach out to it.
